Overall sales for Maricopa County were up 17%!!

• Scottsdale increased 9%
• Central Phoenix increased 11%
• West Valley increased 34%
• Southeast Valley increased 15%

• Sun City and Sun City West continue to sport the top closing numbers with an average sale price of $165,778.

 "While sales have increased from January to February, according to the 6-month trend the numbers have just come back in line with where we were from September ’07 – December ’07.  We predict closings will continue to increase at least through April if this year follows the same trends as previous years and as longs interest rates remain low.

  So in the words of Warren Buffett, one of the most successful businessmen of our time, here’s some advice for the serious buyer:

'We attempt to be fearful when others are greedy and to be greedy only when others are fearful.”'

  2006-2007 was the time to be fearful, now is the time to be greedy.  Once everyone else catches on, the deals will not be as good.  And also, keep in mind that some of the voices screaming recession are the same ones buying real estate!"
